Three Providence Players Suspended

AHL Announces Suspensions
March 8, 2011

The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions: • Providence Bruins defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk has been suspended for three (3) games, Providence right wing Kirk MacDonald has been suspended for three (3) games and Providence center Zach Hamill has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of their actions in a game vs. Bridgeport on Mar. 6. All three players were suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). Bodnarchuk, MacDonald and Hamill will all miss Providence’s game Wednesday (Mar. 9) at Manchester. Bodnarchuk and MacDonald will also miss Providence’s games Friday (Mar. 11) vs. Bridgeport and Saturday (Mar. 12) at Portland.
