Hutch Sent to Reading During Break

Second Year Pro Appeared in 12 Games for Providence

The Providence Bruins, in their 20th season in the American Hockey League, today announced that the Boston Bruins have reassigned goaltender Michael Hutchinson to the Reading Royals of the ECHL.

Hutchinson, 21, has appeared in 12 games for Providence this season, compiling a 3-8-0 record and a .915 save percentage. A native of Barrie, ON Hutchinson made his professional debut on October 8, 2010 and his first professional win and start on October 9 at Springfield. Last season, Hutchinson saw time in 18 games with Reading, compiling a 9-5-4 record and 2.86 GAA. Before turning pro, Hutchinson spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, including three with the Barrie Colts and one with the London Knights.

The Royals (16-18-3-3, 38 PTS) are currently in third place in the Atlantic Division. Last season, the Royals clinched first place in the Atlantic Division with a 44-23-2-3 record. The club advanced to the second round of the playoffs, before falling to the Kalamazoo Wings in four games. Hutchinson joins former P-Bruins Ryan Button, Rob Kwiet, Olivier Labelle and Karel St. Laurent.
