As I mentioned in my last article, the amount of transactions by both Boston and Providence has in my opinion really affected the AHL Bruins. Just look at what went down in the last week alone. The roster has never been the same, it changes almost daily and trying to establish an identity with all the moves and numerous injuries has Providence on the brink of not making the playoffs for only the third time in 18 seasons. Here is a list of transactions this week alone:

After Boston called up Trent Whitfield and Jeff Penner on March 18th.

March 19, 2010 - The Providence Bruins, in their 18th year in the American Hockey League, announced that the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins have assigned forward Trent Whitfield and defenseman Jeff Penner to Providence. Both players were recalled on an emergency basis on March 18 and were healthy scratches during Boston's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night.

March 25, 2010 - The Providence Bruins, in their 18th year in the American Hockey League, announced that the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins have recalled forward Trent Whitfield from Providence.
